Sweet Pea
I almost walked past you.
How your little ringlets grip the posts.
I touch them.
They are soft and wiry.
Pink and green, like my beloved tea set.
You remind me of spring,
of the crisp bite of your brother.
I would rather you crawl over me,
your tendrils tickling my neck.
Obscure me entirely,
let me sink into pink and green.
I wish you all the luck
with overgrowing fences.
And I wish all the fences
their very own sweet pea.
